Irma was born, raised and educated in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan. One of 12 children born to David H. and Olga (nee Regier) UnRuh. After completing her education Irma worked for the CIBC in Lucky Lake, Maidstone and Kindersley.
She returned to Lucky Lake to marry the love of her life, Fred Moynham on November 7, 1953. Mom was a devoted farmer’s wife, mother, and homemaker. Irma was employed at the Demaine Credit Union from September 1970 until 1984 when she retired. In 1975, Fred and Irma sold the family farm and moved into the Village of Lucky Lake. The spring of 2014 mom moved to the Golden Acres High Rise in Outlook, residing there until May 2023 before moving to the Health Centre due to failing health.
Our mother loved: playing cards and bingo, crossword puzzles, volunteering in her community, Sunday drives, dancing, traveling, and she rarely backed down from a lively debate on any topic, especially politics and religion. Irma was a caring sister and was a great friend to many. Family was always a very important aspect of her life and she was a devoted grandmother and proud Oma to her great-grandchildren.
Mom was predeceased by her husband, Fred (1991), her daughter, Marie Rye (2018) and by nine of her siblings and their spouses.
Left to cherish her memory is her family: daughter, Glenda (Murray) Murdoch of Birsay, sons, John (Tammy) Moynham of Saskatoon, Joseph Moynham (André Tremblay) of LaSalle, QC; son-in –law, Harald Rye (Delores) of Saskatoon; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Brandee Murdoch (Rhett Deobald), Dryden and Ainslee of Regina; Dale Murdoch, Piper, Tatum and Scout Murdoch of Outlook, SK.; Jason Moynham of Kindersley, Alanna Moynham of Regina, and Melissa (Kris) Drohomereski, Liam and Nikolaj of Beausejour, MB; “special adopted son”, Tim Clifford (Joline) and adopted grandchildren, Sheridan and Carter Clifford; dear sister to Victor (Kay) UnRuh of West Kelowna, BC and Robert (Janice) UnRuh of Saskatoon. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, including Abe Regier of Saskatoon and many good friends.
Interment will take place prior to service at the family plot in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday June 8, 2024 at Acadia McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon).
