It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Redl on October 5th, 2022 at his home in Saskatoon due to complications from COPD. Glen is survived by his daughters Melissa Redl and Amber (Todd) Baynton; grandchildren; Summer, Damien, Ariella and Lisa, Jordyn and Jamie; mother Jeannine Redl; brother Gary (Mary Ellen) Redl; and numerous nieces and nephews. Glen was predeceased by his father Lawrence and his brother Grant.
Glen was born and raised in Saskatoon. He worked very hard for many years in the food service industry until he retired due to health reasons. In his retirement Glen continued his passion for cooking, making delicious meals and treats for his family and friends. Glen was very social and made friends of all ages wherever he went. His Catholic faith became very important to him in his later years. He will be deeply missed by his family, parish community, neighbours and friends.
Vigil of Prayer, Thursday October 13, 2022, during Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament beginning at 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 14, 2022 8:00 a.m. Both services will be at Our Lady Lourdes Roman Catholic Parish (1235 12th Street East Saskatoon). Rite of Committal to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
