Eva was born May 10, 1928 on the family farm near Allan, SK. She attended Normal school where she obtained her teaching certificate. Her teaching career took her to the small country schools near Allan and North Battleford. On October 18, 1948 she married Otto Senger. Otto and Eva farmed for many years. During this time Eva opened up their home for family and friends on many, many occasions. We were treated to her delicious food and there was always lots to go around. Mom took every opportunity to learn different crafts and continually had a project on the go. She was immensely talented, sharing her creations with family and friends. Eva and Otto spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona where she continued crafting and cooking, making many lasting friendships. In 2007, after having heart surgery, mom and dad moved to Saskatoon. Eva’s greatest joy was giving the gift of joy to all she knew. Even though Eva struggled with dementia for the last ten years, she always remained the Eva who everyone knew and loved. A Vigil for Eva will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Both services will be held at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church (1902 Munroe Ave. S.) in Saskatoon. The Rite of Committal will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan (1405 Faulkner Cres, Saskatoon, SK S7L 3R5).
