Carol was a mother first and foremost, a sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was always there for anyone who needed her. Predeceased by her son, Derek, she is survived by her son, Calvin, her grandchildren, Evan, Kiana, Thor, Gunnar and Una, great grandchildren, Oaklin and Ivy, her brother, Randy (Ann), sisters Arlene (Brock) and Kathy (Doug), many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. And of course her 2 beloved dogs, Daisy and Parker.
Carol graduated from SIAST as a Registered Nurse in 1990. Always continuing her education, she received her degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008. She worked in many positions and locations throughout the province during her career. Her last position prior to retirement was as a nurse educator in the dialysis unit affiliated with St. Paul’s Hospital. After retirement she continued working as an educator with Sask Polytechnic and retired from that position in 2019. On cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean, she worked as a dialysis nurse for the guests on board.
Carol had many interests and hobbies. Sewing, crocheting, knitting, creating ceramic dolls, to name a few. We enjoyed many of her homemade preserves from her garden. Involved in numerous sports in her younger years, she was always active in the community and there to help out or lead in any capacity. She enjoyed getting together with friends, and trips to the casino.
She will be missed beyond measure, leaving a large void in the lives of many.
There will be a Celebration of Carol’s Life at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at Acadia Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive Saskatoon).
For those unable to attend please visit www.faithproductions.ca/livestream to view the service. In lieu of flower, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Carol's memory. Arrangements entrusted to Travis Minor.
