Brian Gregory McKinnon

It is with sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Brian Gregory McKinnon on March 24,2015 In Toronto, Ontario. He was 62. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Harry and mother Marie and is survived by his brothers and sisters, Donelene and family, Ben (Judy) and family, Bob and family, Neil and family and Laurie Beauchamp (Giles) and family. Brian was born and raised in Saskatoon. In the 1970’s he worked with CFQC Television Saskatoon as a cameraman before moving to Toronto, Ontario in 1974 where he pursued a 40 year career in audio/video technology. He had some real highlights during his career particularly as animation director with Nelvana Animation, Toronto, as a pioneer in virtual studio blue screen technology with For-A Toronto and audio/visual work in gesture based technology with GestureTek, Toronto. His installation and technical work took him across Canada and as far afield as Abu Dhabi. Brian loved sailing and spent a lot of time with friends on Lake Ontario. He was a master chef and loved everything about cooking. He is remembered by his friends in Toronto as a good guy, witty, stylish and intelligent. He always had
