Boris Wlad passed away Monday June 6 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Marje of 56 years and his three children and four grandchildren: Brock (Misao), Kerrie (Rain and Lucie), and Kristina, (Brody and Brendan). He is predeceased by his parents Nick and Helen Wlad and his sister Orysia Burolo (Dino). Boris was born in Toronto June 30, 1939. He eventually moved to Manitoba and spent most of his childhood there. That is where he met and married Marje. They moved to Watrous and then to Saskatoon in 1970 and have been a fixture in their home for 50 years on Deborah Crescent. Boris would like to give a shout out to the Palliative Home Care team who helped him out. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Stephens Anglican Church (10 Grosvenor Crescent) on Saturday June 11 at 1:00 p.m. There will be egg salad sandwiches served as per Boris’s request. In lieu of flowers donations in Boris’s memory may be made to Lung Cancer of Canada (133 Richmond St W 208, Toronto, ON M5H 2L3). On his behalf, we will also be accepting gluten free baking. Arrangements entrusted to Aime Laventure.
