In 1953, Ronnie and his family moved to Westbury, New York where his father became the owner and chef of a restaurant.
At the early age of 14, Ronnie mastered his craft as a chef. He worked alongside of his father until his father died in 1966.
While working in a Syosset, New York restaurant, he met and married his wife Felicetta. Within a few years, they had three children, Tracy Ann, Richard Scott, and Michael Anthony. Soon Ronnie and his wife opened an Italian restaurant in Melville, New York called the Villa Sciré.
After eleven years of running a successful business, they sold the restaurant and moved to Sarasota, Florida. Ronnie then worked for The Tournment Players Club in Prestancia as Headline Cook for seventeen years. During that time, they were blessed with their grandchild Alexis Marie. After leaving The TPC, he worked at Lakehouse West and Bay Village until his retirement in 2023.
Ronnie loved cooking and collecting old money, but his forté was his sense of humor and connecting with people by making them laugh. Ronnie was a loving, caring man who succeeded in giving his family a wonderful life and everyone he knew a reason to smile.
A visitation for Ronald will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2506 Gulf Gate Dr, Sarasota, FL 34231.
