Raymond Roger Davis

Raymond (Roger) Davis was born on June 22, 1949 to the late Raymond and Marjorie Davis in Sarasota, Florida. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Roger worked almost his entire life. The two main jobs he had were, driving a fuel tanker truck for Atco Inc (Amoco) for 30 years and the last 25 years he worked for Sun Hydraulics until he retired in 2020.

He loved his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and sitting on his front porch, as well as working in his yard.

Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Davis, four children, Roger Davis, Crystal Haner, Amanda (Carlos) Henderson, and Melissa (Clay) Nelson. He had eight grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Adam Davis, Alyssa Davis, Lindsey Rice, Grace Haner, Olivia Nelson, Jacob Richardson and Seth Richardson; and great grandson Brantley Williams.

Roger is also survived by his three sisters, Linda Crosby. Adrienne (Greg) Bryant and Nancy Jean Davis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Marjorie Davis and grandson Joshua Haner.

A memorial service will be held at the Pentecostal Church of Sarasota, 5055 Sawyer Road, Sarasota, Florida 34233

Reverend G.W. Hassebrock and Pastor Jody Schlottman will be officiating the service.
