Peter G. McKee, age 85, of Sarasota, FL passed away peacefully October 17, 2021.
Peter is survived by his partner, Olga; three sons Gregg, Douglas (Bethany) and Stuart McKee, children’s mother, Karen; grandsons Daniel and Colin; brother Robert L. McKee (Janice) and sister Judith McKee Floyd; numerous nieces and nephews and his dog, Abby McKee. Peter was predeceased by his parents Robert and Olive (McCorkle) McKee Sr., brothers Carlton M and William E McKee and sister Pauline McKee Truzzi.
Peter grew up in Bridgeville, PA graduating from Bridgeville High School and the University of Pittsburgh. After college he worked at Shippingport Atomic Power Station in Beaver County, PA, then went on to a 36-year career at General Motors. Peter was “inspired by technical challenges” and is a US Patent holder.
He did extensive genealogy into the McKee family and is being interred at Harmony Cemetery, Harrisville, PA, where the first three generations of McKees that came to this country are buried. Burial services will be private at the convenience of the family.
