Nancy Walton was born October 23, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She married her loving husband, John "Skip" C. Walton on November 27, 2004. Nancy went home to her Heavenly Father on February 1, 2016.
Nancy loved her family with all her heart. She is survived by her husband Skip, her mother Elizabeth Cadle, and her two children, Eric and Heather Yearwood.
Nancy lived a full and happy life. She was raised in Beavercreek, Ohio and went on to earn her Bachelors degree in Communications at the University of Kentucky. At UK, she was an A student and the Golden Girl in the Wildcats marching band. After graduation, she moved to Dayton Ohio to start a family. In 1992, she relocated, with her two children, to Sarasota Florida. At age 54, she earned a degree in Nursing from Manatee Community College. Soon after, she met and fell in love with Skip. They enjoyed a blissful, Christ-centered marriage for 11 years. Skip and Nancy traveled the world, were active in church, and built a happy home.
Nancy and her mother Betty were best friends for many years, and Nancy's children were her pride and joy. She invested her life into seeing them grow into happy, successful adults.
Everyone who met Nancy delighted in her kindness, her warmth, and joyful spirit. She weathered the storms of life with a courage and grace that flowed from her deep faith in Jesus.
There will be a celebration of Nancy's life at 6:30 PM, Monday February 8th, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church on Fruitville Road in Sarasota, Florida.
