Myrna was born in Milwaukee, Wis. May 18, 1935, to Eldor and Marie (Duenow) Rupno.
Myrna graduated from Merrill High School in 1953 and worked for her dad at Quality Wood Products and Merrill Door. Afterward she began a career working for Kohl’s grocery stores. She married Douglas Crago on January 26, 1962. They were married 56 years and raised their family in New Berlin, Wis. Myrna had a strong faith and raised her children to believe and trust in God. She was a loving wife and mother, and doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked for Kohl’s in a grocery store and in the administrative offices until she retired. At that time they moved to Sarasota, Fla. where she worked part time for Publix grocery stores. They then spent six years in Huntsville, Ala. before moving back to Wisconsin in 2015.
Myrna is survived by her daughters, Jane (Tim) Strausbaugh of Myakka City, Fla., Debbie (Gary) Radtke of Waukesha, Wis., Sheri (Joe) Bell of Lake Mills, Wis., Penny Tiedt of The Villages, Fla., and Diane Richardson of Meridianville, Ala. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and in-laws, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; her brother, Robert Rupno; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Gordon and Dorothy Buxton and John and Beverly Crago; son-in-laws Allan Tiedt and Lamar Richardson; two sons, Jeff and David Crago; and a grandson, Douglas Crago.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34232, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Entombment will immediately follow in Palms Memorial Park.
