Mary is survived by her husband, Harry Maurice Knarr, Jr., who she married in 1947. The couple had four children, Jean Luker, Joyce Bishop, Susan Adams, and Harry Maurice Knarr III (deceased 2013).
Mary was active as a United Methodist Woman and in several areas of United Methodist church leadership.
Additionally, Mary leaves grandchildren, Angela Harwell, Rachel Saumell (deceased 2019), Marc Miller, Edward Adams III, Kathryn Adams Green, Harrison Knarr and his sisters Kirsten Ashley Metty and Kirsten Marie Barat. Mary also leaves 8 great-grandchildren.
