Mary Victoria Fox, a devout Christian was born on May 4, 1935, and left us at the age of 89. Mary was born just outside of London, England to the late Ben and Ann Percival. She was the middle child of three, Margaret Doherty the youngest sister and the late Ken Percival her older brother. She finished school in Blackpool, England.
In her late teens she joined the Women’s Royal Air Force in the medical field and was stationed in Germany. This is where she picked up her first field hockey stick, joined the WRAF Hockey team and fell in love with the game.
After her enlistment ended, she joined her family in Luton in Bedfordshire there she met her late husband Dennis Fox at a Dance club and they “rocked and rolled all night long” fell in love and were married on March 26, 1960.
Over a 6-year period she gave birth to 3 sons Stephen, Ian and Barry and moved to Birmingham in the West Midlands she worked at a geriatric unit at East Birmingham Hospital.
In their mid-40’s Dennis and Mary decided to go into the Pub business in Birmingham and had a pub called the Ale Steak in Balsall Heath
In 1982 Mary and Dennis moved to Sarasota, Florida and opened an English seafood restaurant called the Pirates Cove, threw epic parties and met great people and friends.
After the Pirates Cove closed, she went back to school and got her Certified Nursing Assistant license and began helping people again.
Mary was a kindhearted soul who would help anyone anytime. She took care of many people. She loved to dance, joke around and I know has made everybody fall in love with her contagious smile.
She loved her daughter in laws, Kim, Kathy and Jessica and all her grandchildren, Neil, Jeanessa, Adam, Micheal, Vicky, Alex, Mackenzie, Andre, Danielle and Adrianna and her great grandchildren, Tommy, Oliver and Everett
We all loved you and we will miss you and one day we will meet again.
A private service will be held at a later date.
