Larry “Chad” Patrizi, 62, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away on October 1, 2021, in Sarasota, Florida. Born in Hamilton Square, Larry resided in Middleburg and Purcellville, VA for most of his adult life before recently moving to Sarasota, FL.
Having devoted his life to academia, Larry had many professional accomplishments to be proud of, culminating with the position of EVP, Provost for the American College of Financial Services before retiring. He held a Master of Public Administration and Policy from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from The College of New Jersey. Larry earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in E-Learning at Touro University International.
In his personal life, Larry had a passion for traveling, photography, equestrian, and rescue animals. However, his true joy was in the time spent and memories created with his family and friends.
Larry is predeceased by his father John James Patrizi, and brother John Patrizi. He is survived by his loving partner Gary Baron, of Sarasota, his mother Dorothy Patrizi, his sister Diane Hornyak and husband John, his sister Sandi Russo and husband Michael, his niece Jocelyn Graf and Husband Brian, his nephew Jared Hornyak and wife Brittany, his nephew Chad Hornyak and wife Kristine, his nephew Michael Russo, niece Lauren Russo, great nieces Audrey Graf and Chloe Hornyak, and great nephew Hudson Graf.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00am at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home - Wiegand Chapel located at 7454 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231.
