Kristin Marie Remchuk

Kristin Marie Remchuk, age 39, of Sarasota, Florida, died suddenly on Monday July 31, 2017, while traveling with her family in New York City, New York. Kristin was born August 2, 1977 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and entered Medical Foster Care with Dr. and Mrs. Isaac Marcadis of West Palm Beach, Florida, until she was adopted soon after by her beloved parents, Dutch and Catherine (Nelsen) Roenfeldt.

Kristin attended St. Lukes Catholic School, Holy Name Catholic School, and Summit Christian School. She married Daniel Charles Remchuk on June 12, 1999 in Lake Worth, Florida. She and Danny adopted their son, Cameron, from Uganda in 2011. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She graduated from Summit Christian School in 1995 with her High School Diploma and graduated from the Washington Learning Institute in 2003 with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. She was a certified Paralegal and worked for over 11 years in the field in law firms in West Palm Beach and Sarasota.

Kristin enjoyed people. She loved socializing, entertaining, and being around her friends and family. She loved shopping and travelling, especially with Danny and Cameron. She was also a devoted, active member of Bahia Vista Mennonite Church where she served on the visitation team, visiting the sick and elderly.

She is preceded in death by her parents-in-law Daniel and Ruth Remchuk, her grandparents Dr. Robert and Alice Nelsen as well as Theodore and Laura

Roenfeldt. She is also preceded by her beloved Aunt Dr. Mary Zamon.

She is survived by her husband Danny, son Cameron, parents Dutch Roenfeldt of Colorado and Catherine Nelsen of North Carolina, sister Rebecca (Eric) Buckmaster of North Carolina, in-laws Joseph (Sherry) Shamp of Sarasota and Cindy Shamp of Ohio. She had 12 nieces and nephews, 3 great nephews and one great niece. She is also survived by family members Deborah (Richard) Buza of Pennsylvania, Crystal (Greg) Hough of Pennsylvania, and Gina Patterson of Jacksonville.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11 O’Clock in the morning at Bahia Vista Mennonite Church, 4041 Bahia Vista Street, Sarasota, Florida 34232. Kristin adored flowers, and they can be sent to the church for the service or to Palms-Robarts Funeral Home the day before.
