We will never forget the wonderful memories of Joe. He was one of the funniest people to be with. He was a wonderful host, always making you feel at home.

Joe had a wonderful way of pulling everyone around him into his orbit, sharing his laughter and joy at things great and small. His warm personality was woven into  both the outrageously funny tales he told, as well as his intimate stories that pulled at the heart-strings.  His energy could fill a room.  

We loved watching him dance with the light of his life, Louise. Just seeing the two of them laughing together over at a corner table would make us smile from half a room away. 

It’s hard to believe we knew Joe for only three years, because he made a tremendous impression on our hearts and minds. We will miss him beyond words.  With love, Susan Bovee and Linda Wallack

We  have great memories of our fun times together. We will miss Joe very much.

Our friend Joe was a gift! He was the light in the room. Joe and  Louise were one of the first couples we met when we moved to Wanaque,  New Jersey. Our Building 3 was not fully occupied when we arrived in July of 2009, but before long  we had a nice group of 10 who hung with each other and danced at all the clubhouse gatherings.  Joe always arranged our fun evenings with much success, including “boys night out” at Thatchers! 

Later we shared our love for Sarasota, Florida with Joe and Louise  who soon found a home here.  When they left New Jersey we were happy to continue our friendship with them,  having an occasional meal and celebrating  St. Patrick’s day .

Joe was generous, compassionate, well traveled, sharing and so much fun to be around.  He will be missed!

My pops was a man full of wise words, laughs, and comfort when needed.  Growing up me and my sister and family spent some of the best times in his and my grandmother’s Poconos trailer.  He would take me and my sister on endless rides in his golf cart, even letting us pretend to drive.  The Christmas mornings when him, my grandmother, and my Uncle Anthony showed up with enough presents to touch the ceiling were truly magical.  The days and nights he spent with me and my sister taking us to the movies, diners,  telling us stories, playing whatever made up game we wanted to play that day, and laughing with us will be cherished forever.  
I always looked forward to his phone calls to tell me about where him and his wife Louise were traveling next.  His love for traveling and ability to make friends wherever he went in the world is so admirable. 
He will be missed by so many people around the world. Rest In Peace Pops we love you

The night that we first met Joe, we knew that we'd be best friends.
Joe called me his “brother from another mother and, before too long, he insisted the I join him and become a “Moose”, which led to many memorable times together.
Not only was Joe the “life of every party”, he was also the organizer of most of them, including the annual St. Patrick's Day parties in New Jersey and in Florida, and the R.O.M.E.O. boys' night out parties, in Wanaque, to name a few.
Joe was a true “people person”, kind, funny and always up for anything. 
His zest for life took him and Louise around the world, several times, and he enthralled us with fascinating stories about their travels and all the people from different parts of the world they had met and with whom they became friends.
Joe's compassionate and caring nature made him easy to talk to. He always had time to listen, empathize and afford wise counsel.
Joe and Louise's love and mutual respect were exemplary, and it was a great honor and pleasure for Kathy and me to stand up for them, when they wed, six years ago. 
Surely, Joe will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched. His outgoing personality, joyful nature, compassion, sincerity and kindness, endeared him to people from all walks of life.
The times we shared with my “brother from another mother”were always full of laughter and love and those memories remain some of the happiest of  our lives. 
It has been said that, what we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose, because all that we deeply love becomes part of us.
We are so fortunate to have known, loved and been loved by Joe Coviello and he will always hold a very special place in our hearts.   
May his memory be for a blessing.
