Frederick Steven Williams, 72, died peacefully at home on January 28, 2022 from heart failure. Fred aka “Freddi” aka “Cheeta” was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 11, 1949 to the late Mary Louise LePes and Frederick Julius Williams.
Frederick spent the majority of his life in Columbus, Ohio, where he worked as a technician at General Electric for 23 years, owned a car restoration business called An-Teeks, and was a classic car appraiser. He also served six years in the Army National Guard.
In his sunset years, he became a Florida resident. Fred was married for 51 years to the love of his life, Susan Kay Browning. During retirement he worked odd jobs and volunteered for the Mote Aquarium. Fred was an avid golfer, lover of Corvettes and classic cars.
He is survived by his wife Susan; his children Kristin (Shane) and Paxton (Denise); grandchildren: Amanda, Colby, Bailey, Annabelle, Peyton, and Ethan; his sister Mary Alice Linden.
A gathering of family & friends for Frederick will be held Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232, with a celebration of life service at 1:00 PM.
