Bruce Blidner of University Park, FL formally of Columbus, Ohio died on October 8, 2013. He was born in New York, NY on March 19, 1945.
Bruce completed his undergraduate degree at Kenyon College and received a Ph.D. at Syracuse University in 1971. He worked for 32 years in Research & Development senior management for the Ross Division of Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, Ohio. He was awarded several US Patents during his career at Ross. After his retirement in 2005 he enjoyed playing golf and bridge at University Park Country Club and fishing with his sons.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia and sons Jeffrey (Renee) of Tampa, FL, Richard (Yalanda) of Benicia, CA and Kenneth (Nicole) of Minneapolis, MN and grandsons Logan, Andrew, and Jacob. He is also survived by his sister, Abra (Stephen) Dennis and brother, Martin (Regan) Blidner.
A Memorial Service will be held at Palms-Robards Funeral Home, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34232 on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
