Barbara J. Buckland

Barbara J. Buckland was a caring, selfless and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 22, 2022 with family by her side after a 44 month battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.

She was born on June 14, 1948 in Massillon, Ohio. Barb’s Christian faith was an essential part of her life. She loved the Lord, her family and church, truly a Proverbs 31 women. Survived by her husband Everal (Ray) Buckland, children Chad Buckland; and Kevin Buckland; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

It would be wrong to say that Barb lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. She stayed strong, no matter how sick she was. Barb was always there for her family and friends. Truly an inspiration and an amazing women as she continued to give and love others during very difficult times. While our hearts are heavy today and we miss her greatly, she is in a better place – until we meet again!

A gathering of family & friends will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 9:30AM to 10:00AM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A celebration of life service will follow at 10:00AM.

Interment will take place at 12:30PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
