Walter Zeno Smith

Walter Zeno Smith – a 94 year—old native of Calvert, Alabama and resident of Malcolm, Alabama passed away at his home on Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was the longtime owner and operator of Smith Auto Parts in Calvert. Mr. Smith was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed fishing. He was a lifetime parishioner of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, Alabama.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Z. Smith and Sadie Nader Hudson, and sister, Sadie Florence Ramey. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Smith; children, Teresa Henderson (Kevin), Walter “Eddie” Nader (Brenda), and David Dungan; grandchildren, Zachary Dungan (Robby Ellen), Caleb Watts (Hannah), Jacob Watts (Baylee), Emmalee Dungan, Walter Nader, Jr., Jennifer Dreaden (David), and Stacie Knight (Thomas); sister, Mary M. Hankins; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Mount Vernon on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. followed by a visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour.
