Mary Ruth Griffith

Mary Ruth Griffith – a 79 year-old native of Mobile and resident of Eight Mile passed away at her home on Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was a member of Chunchula Baptist Church and enjoyed flower gardening and fishing. Above all else, she loved her family.

Ms. Griffith was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Alexander Cale and Cecilia Viola Glasscock Cale; daughter, Donna Young; son, Alan Thornton; and sisters, Anna Jean Kastoroff and Voncille Green. She is survived by her daughter, Kellie King; grandchildren, Christy Rockwell (John) and Joseph Thornton; great-grandchildren, Jonalyn Rockwell, Ryker Rockwell, Mackenzie Thornton, and Trinity Thornton; sister, Leverne Cale; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from Chunchula Baptist Church on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Turnerville Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
