Julie Mims Hacker, born July 21, 1971 in Panama City, Florida, passed into her heavenly home Monday, August 16, 2021 in Birmingham, Alabama. Part of Julie’s heart was always in Uruguay, where she spent most of her childhood as a Missionary kid.
She is survived by her dedicated husband, Scott Robert Hacker of Birmingham, AL; parents, Guy and Jan Mims, Bay Minette, AL; brother, Johnny Mims, Bay Minette; sister, Jana Mims(Drew) Epperson, Nashville, TN; niece, Avery Nicole Mims, Tuscaloosa, AL; nephews: Jett, Jude, and Jax Epperson, Nashville, TN; Scott’s parents, Robert and Sandy Hacker, Kimberling City, MO; sister-in-law, Collette Hacker, Denver, CO; as well as many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Julie’s life revolved around her love for the Lord and family. She was a Daddy’s Girl, yet she dearly loved all her family. Julie loved anything and everything Auburn. She had a special relationship with her Aunt, Nell Jacobs, Butler, AL and cousins: Doug and Ramona Jacobs, missionaries in Southern Asia.
Honoring Julie as pallbearers will be: Johnny Mims, Paul Prine, Jim McKinley, David Black, Bruce Holly and Steve Lumpkin. Honorary pallbearers are Howard Smith, Kenny Revelle, Shelby Irwin and Will Irwin.

The family will be receiving guests for visitation on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at CenterPointe Assembly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at CenterPointe Assembly, 1375 W I-65 Service Road N., Mobile, AL 36618.
A private interment will be held on the grounds of Byrd Memorial Cemetery, Sunday, August 22, 2021.
