Helen was born October 17, 1934. She was a majorette in high school. After graduating from higher education, she went on to become a nurse. She was hand-picked by Springhill Medical Center's founder to work in the Emergency Room. Her drive and passion for nursing helped to inspire several in her family to pursue a career in the medical field.
Helen's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her children and grand children. She had a servant's heart and would always take pride in caring for others. She had a sweet heart, a kind nature, and a beautiful smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Helen was encircled by her daughter and granddaughter at her peaceful passing. She will rest happily alongside husband, Dr. James Whiting at Satsuma Cemetery after a simple graveside service on Monday, July 22, 2024.
