Eunice Virginia Bryan Sims

Eunice Virginia Sims, 82, of Chickasaw passed away May 23, 2015, at her home. She was born on Dec. 19, 1932, in McCullough, AL. to her parents William E. Bryan and Bessie (Coon) Bryan. She was the eighth of eight children. She married Emmett Therrell Sims on Dec. 20, 1951. They have 3 daughters. She was a loving and caring wife of 63 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Virginia will be remembered by her husband, Emmett and their three children: Pandy (B.J) Phillips of Troy TN, Cindy Seibert of Chickasaw, AL and Donna (Bill) Wilson of Acworth, GA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Jennifer (Tim) Adle, Jeff (Sherry) Garrettson, Jessica (Chad) Simmons, Kyle (Ashley) Phillips, Kori (Brad) Flowers, and William (Jacque) Wilson, 11 great-grandchildren, and her brother and sister-in-law Charles and Louise Bryan. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church at 11am. Visitation will be from 10am -11am. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to Shiloh Baptist Church, Special Needs Children’s Ministry. The church is located at 717 Cleveland Road, Saraland, AL 36571.
