TSgt. Edward Wayne Beverly, USAF Ret. – a 70 year-old native of Greenville, Alabama and resident of Eight Mile passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Mr. Beverly retired from the Air Force as a Tech Sergeant after 20 years of service in the military police. He then served as a state police officer with the Alabama State Docks for 15 years. Mr. Beverly loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, grilling, and sitting around his fire pit, as well as his dogs, wrestling, and Alabama football.
Mr. Beverly was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Edward Beverly and Mattie Lee Lowery Thomas; brothers, Bobby Franklin Beverly and Rickey Beverly; and beloved wife of 22 years, Anna Beverly. He is survived by his children, Staci Mosley (David), Tim Beverly (Stacey), Chris Beverly (Felicia), Charles Biggs, Liz Aguilar (Dean), John F. Biggs II, and Lisa Lemons; sister, Shirley Morrow; grandchildren, Kyle Mosley, Kayla Mosley, Kaci Mosley, Kaitlynn Mosley, Destiny Beverly, Tyler Beverly, Charlie Elmore, Catherine Elmore, Colin Elmore, Caleb Biggs, Lily Biggs, Joey Aguilar, and Lylah Aguilar; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 2p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
