Robert Cleveland

Robert Douglas Cleveland 72 of San Jose Ca, succumbed to his illness at Santa Teresa Kaiser Hospital on January 31st at 12:53 am. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. A celebration of life will be held for him February 22nd at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary in the North Chapel, 466 N Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050. Following the service there will be a reception at Mariani's restaurant, 2500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95051. Robert was born in San Jose on June 2nd, 1947, son of Frances Josephine Ramirez and Robert Cleveland. Robert, often known as “Bob” had a passion for fishing, barbecuing, quality time with family and friends and was a diehard San Francisco 49er’s fan. Those who knew him will fondly recollect on his contagious charm, quick-witted humor, dressing in all black and his unique dance moves. He was often the source of many laughs and will always be remembered as the “life of the party” He worked at Santa Clara Kaiser Hospital for 18 years and was loved by many of his fellow co-workers and peers. He retired a few years before his passing. Robert is survived by his six children: Derek Cleveland, Tony Cleveland, Anthony Mayora, Joseph Cleveland, GinaMarie Cleveland and Nicole Cleveland. Also, his siblings: Sandie Cleveland Braze, Shawn Cleveland, Lance Cleveland, Michael Cleveland, Colleen Cleveland and Pauline Cleveland. He is also survived by grandsons, granddaughters, nieces, nephews and extended family that adored him immensely. He will be missed every minute and reminisced on every day.
