After the family emigrated, Philip finished his education and obtained a Masters degree from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California and graduated with honors.
He worked in various companies eventually focusing on the design of electronics for computer hard drives. He retired about 20 years ago.
Philip always enjoyed working with his hands. He did a great deal on and around his home. Building a large garage & workshop, and tending his garden. He was an avid runner and cyclist. He loved cooking food on the grill. In his later years, when asthma become a problem, he kept occupied with robotics, 3D printing, and building computers. Philip also had a fascination with "really bad" old black & white film. Often proudly commenting on his latest finds.
Predeceased by both his mother & father. Philip is survived his two brothers Neil and Ian, niece Erin, and former wife Rose.
He will be buried at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Fremont, CA.
Philip will be profoundly missed, but his memory and quirky humor will continue to be a source of warmth and joy for those privileged to have known and loved him.
