Bertha Jennie Brown

June 24, 1935 to August 1, 2013

After a long illness Bertha passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital with her husband and children holding her hands and consoling her during her last moments. Bertha was born and spent most of her life here in San Jose. She and her husband William (Bill) Brown celebrated their 60th anniversary on May 23, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband and adoring children Debra Brown, Randy Brown and Mark Brown; grandchildren, Salina Soriano, Nicolas Brown; sister Amelia Chiono; brother Ysidor Sanchez; many nieces and nephews. Bertha is joining her grandson John Soriano who passed away at a young age in 2000. Bertha was a wonderful Wife and Mother. She enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and sharing them with her kids, who all turned out to be just like her. Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, August 6th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with Rosary Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. The Funeral will be held Wednesday, August 7th at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Claire Chapel in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St. in Santa Clara, where interment will follow.
