Stanley B. Gabel Jr., a retired Sergeant for the City of Orange Police Department, passed away on August 16, at the age of 75 with his wife and children by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy; his three children, Kerri, Stan and Rich; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Sgt. Gabel honorably served the Orange Police Department for 30 years (1969-1999). During his career he was a patrolman, motor officer and traffic investigator. He finished his career as a motor and patrol sergeant. He has started a family legacy of police officers. Following his lead are his sons Stan Gabel III (Retired Orange Police Officer), Rich Gabel (Active Torrance Police Officer) and granddaughter Hanna Bower (Active Camp Verde Deputy Marshal).
Stan will be missed by his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
