Pamela Anne Muñoz went to her eternal home on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, due to complications from brain cancer. Pam’s smile, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Tom, her children Elena, Alicia, James, and Joseph, and her grandchildren Sophia, Hannah, Annie, and William.
Pam was born in Schenectady, New York to parents Donald “Don” and Virginia “Ginnie” Scherer. She spent much of her early childhood in Ohio before moving to California, where she graduated from Villa Park High School and went on to obtain her teaching credential from Cal State Fullerton. She taught in the Placentia-Yorba Linda school district at Tynes Elementary and Wagner Elementary where her bilingualism was a gift to her students. Her love of learning and teaching also led her to complete her Masters Degree in Education through National University after over 30 years of teaching.
Pam was a passionate friend and teacher, a kind and loving wife and mother, and her incredible generosity of spirit made her beloved by all. She made everyone smile, and her humor, wit, and impressions filled rooms with laughter. She was endlessly curious and loved to cook with and for her family, completing the most complex French recipes with her daughter for the sheer joy of the experience and the delight of the meals together that followed. She enjoyed exploring new wine regions with her husband, Tom, and loved going on walks with him each and every day. Pam enjoyed reading and could often be found with a book in her hand. She loved to celebrate and she lavished gifts on everyone in her life. She helped all of us to be more kind by serving others and living as an example every day without tiring.
Pam’s faith in God was her constant source of joy and her connection to Christ gave her a neverending abundance of love for others. She and Tom prayed with every breath and both became so in tune with God’s heart it became impossible not to feel God’s love when in their company. We will miss her dearly, but know that he has placed eternity in our hearts and look forward to seeing her again one day.
