It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sewell III, a beloved 9th-grade student at Orlando Christian Prep. Sewell passed away on February 28, 2024. Known for his easy-going and gentle nature, Sewell was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him.
His passion for learning was evident, particularly in his love for the sciences and history, subjects he approached with enthusiasm and curiosity. Beyond academics, Sewell was a sports enthusiast, immersing himself in basketball, football, soccer and boxing. However, his heart truly belonged to Formula 1 racing, where he was a proud and dedicated member of the Scuderia Ferrari Tifosi.
Sewell's love for music was as diverse as his interests in sports, encompassing genres like Hip Hop, R&B, Rock, and Alternative, reflecting his multifaceted personality. He cherished moments spent with friends and family, always eager to plan the next family "Kickback," bringing joy and unity to those around him. As a self-described "Hotel Connoisseur," Sewell had a zest for travel, exploring new places and cultures with an open heart and mind.
Raised in a Christian household, his faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in love and compassion. Sewell's absence leaves an irreplaceable void, but his spirit and the memories shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
