Otto Franklin Garrett

Otto was born on August 24, 1946 in Alabama, to parents Joseph Garrett and Laura (Schmehl) Garrett. His parents opened Garrett's Department Store in downtown Sanford, FL in 1947 until 1993. Otto graduated from Seminole High School in the class of 1964. He was a Marine in Vietnam, and worked for Northrop Grumman for many years. Otto married Pamela Jones on April 30, 2011.

Otto loved fishing and going out on his boat, and his cat Coco. He enjoyed going to lunch and dinner with his friends and former classmates of SHS. Otto was a kind and generous man, and a caring friend to all.

Otto is predeceased by his son Joshua Garrett in 2006, his parents Joseph Garrett in 2008 and Laura Garrett in 2012, his wife Pamela Jones Garrett in 2017, his sister Laura Schwalm in 2017, and his first wife Myriad Garrett in 2019. He is survived by his daughter Sara Garrett Doane and husband Thomas of Titusville, and their children Raymond Joshua and Sansa Rose Doane. Otto is also survived by his stepdaughters Lori Butler and Christine Floyd, and several cousins in Greenville, GA.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Friday March 6th at 11:00 am. It will be held at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church, 5210 Markham Woods Rd, Lake Mary, Fl. 32746.
