Norma Nell Hancock was born on October 17th, 1926 in Palatka, FL. Her parents owned the Hancock Farm. They raised 7 children: Norma, Clarence, Harley, Bernice, Belle, Eva, and Sam. After high school Norma joined the Navy and after her discharge returned to Palatka.
Norma met her future husband, Milton Ferrell, through his cousin, Juanita. Juanita and Norma both worked for the phone company as switchboard operators and Juanita pushed Milton to ask Norma out to a dance. After attending the dance together they became inseparable and married.
Norma and Milton had 5 children: Michael (deceased, 2013), Kandi (deceased, 2018), Amron, Rick, and Steve.
Norma and Milton worked hard to provide for their 5 children. Norma worked as a secretary for the IRS in Orlando and Milton worked as a plasterer in Deltona. Norma and Milton were married for 61 years until his death in 2010. They had 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Norma passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 15th, 2022 at the age of 95. She is now reunited in heaven with her family as well as with her friends Juanita, Helen, and Hazel.
