John Benjamin Kleemann, 90, of Longwood, Florida passed away in his residence on Memorial Day, Monday May 30, 2016. John was born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 8, 1925; the son of John B. and Ruth (Sanders) Kleemann. He married his wife Ann Layton Kleemann in 1951. John severed our country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. During that time he received a Purple Heart for injuries he sustained. He was also awarded a bronze star and victory medal.John was self-employed in the building materials trade. John was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. He enjoyed boating, deep sea fishing, and golf. He was an avid baseball fan. John leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Ann, sons John Stephen Kleemann and wife Sue DaRe, Charles Matthew Kleemann and his wife Tamara, daughters Mary Y. Schuh and her husband Michael, Ruth Reich and her husband Dr. Robert Reich, five grandchildren Sarah Ruth Schuh, Tara Michelle Kleemann, Matthew Stephen Kleemann, Benjamin Arthur Schuh, and William Robert Reich; great granddaughter Sadie Sasha Schuh-Stokey, as well as countless friends. John was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Oaklawn Park Cemetery at 10:00 am, with Father Swallows officiating. Military honors will be rendered as well. Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
