Harriet Fleming Hill

Harriet Fleming Hill, 76, of Sanford, passed away on October 17, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Roscoe Fleming, Jr. and sister, Carol J. Webb. Harriet graduated from Seminole High School in 1957. She had a long and successful career in the land title business with numerous companies in Seminole County. She performed land title searches dating back to the incorporation of Seminole County and had an extensive knowledge of the history of land ownership in the county. Throughout her career she developed lifelong friends in the business and would have monthly dinners with “The Title Divas.” She also enjoyed reading and her weekly trips with her dear friend, Sue Chapman, to the mall and their talks over coffee. She is survived by her sons, Joseph A. Hill (Judy), Shenandoah, VA, James A. Hill, Sanford, FL and Douglas A. Hill (Robin), Eustis, FL; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Penny J. Fleming (Rusty Beavers), Mt. Dora, FL. Harriet will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. The family would like to acknowledge their appreciation to the staff of VITAS who have cared for Harriet over the past year. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and the funeral service will immediately follow at the Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, FL 32771.
