Evelyn Alice Christopher

Evelyn was born to parents James and Johnnie Padgett on December 26, 1926 in Montrose, Georgia. She grew up as the second youngest of 12 and spent most of her formative years in Tampa, FL. She met her future husband at a local Tampa skating rink. When he asked "When can I see you again?" she replied " I'll be in church on Sunday". In 1948, she married Donald Christopher. After her children were born, she began her nursing career. First as an LPN and later becoming an RN. At the time of her death she was a member of Central Baptist Church in Sanford, Florida. She absolutely loved teaching Sunday School to her "Faith Ladies."

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Patsy Boyd; her son and daughter in love, Don R. and April Christopher; her 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A viewing for Evelyn will be available to the public at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford, FL on Thursday evening, March 30, between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Central Baptist Church in Sanford, FL. Interment will immediately follow at Oaklawn Park Cemetery in Lake Mary, FL.
