Edward (Ed) Lyons Reed passed away in Lake Mary, Florida on Thursday, April 20th at the age of 82 years. Born October 11, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he grew up in Anchorage, Kentucky. A 1964 graduate of Center College, Ed also served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1963. In Louisville, he was President of Smith Reed Construction. In 1987, he and his former wife of 52 years, Ann Symmers Reed, moved to to Central Florida, where they owned and operated Bagatelle Nursery and Bay Ridge Equestrian Center. He was an avid reader of history, and a talented watercolor artist. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lois Reed, and his sister, Pamela Holeman. He leaves behind 2 children; Marina Kilberg, Jim (Sheri) Reed; five grandchildren; Madison Kilberg Tone, Sydne Kilberg Beth, Jack Reed, Anna Grace Reed, and Michael Reed; three great grandchildren; Eleanor Beth, Reed Tone, and Stella Beth.
He was loved dearly and will be missed.
