Blair G. Soden was born May 16th 1930 in Trinidad and Tobago; the first son to George and Rosalind Soden. He was a loving husband to Eloise, Father, Grandfather, Great Grand Father, Step Father, Brother, Father in law, Brother in Law, Uncle and cherished friend. Blair’s life span of 85 years afforded him the opportunity to live both in Trinidad and the US. Blair spent the first 30 years of his life in Trinidad and worked at TPD/BP (Oil Company) & The Special Reserve Trinidad and Tobago Police Service before migrating to the US where he lived in New York and Florida. Blair’s working career was in Finance and he retired as Senior Associate Administrator of the Manhattan Kidney Center. He enjoyed sports and played both football & cricket in his younger years. He was and avid supporter of the West Indies Cricket Team and the Orlando Magic was his favorite basket-ball team. Among his hobbies were reading, landscaping, listening to music, a good “lime” and giving jokes…. Yes…giving jokes!! Blair was pre-deceased by his parents and eldest sister Silla and leaves to mourn his wife of 45 years Eloise Soden, his children Wayne, Donna, Cherry, Leba, LeeAnn and his stepdaughter Joanne. Two sisters, Merle and Barbara and his only brother Clyde; his sons-in law Adrian, Selby, Robert, John and daughter-in-law Pamela, in-laws, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and nineteen nieces and nephews. Blair was loved by many people. His sociable and self-confident personality was his defining quality. He will be missed by all who were blessed to have shared in his life. May his soul rest in peace.
