Joseph Frank Romano

Lt. Col. Joseph F. Romano, age 95, of Sandy Springs, died March 22, 2016.He served 30+ years in the United States Air Force-World War II, The Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was predeceased by his wife, Rachele R. Romano. He is survived by his daughters, Lillian A. Stankunas, Plano Texas, Roberta R. Hanlon, Cumming, sons, Joseph F. Romano Jr., Athens, Charles E. Romano, Marietta, Grandchildren, Christopher J. Romano, Alison Hansard, Kimberly Woodard, Laura Dixon, Rachel Dickens, Joseph F. Romano III, Angelina Hanlon and Amy Hanlon, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm at Sandy Springs Chapel Funeral Directors, 136 Mt. Vernon Highway, Sandy Springs Ga. 30328. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia at a later date.
