William Henry Gill III

Bill was born March 1, 1934 in Cambridge, MA to William and Doris (Ketchum) Gill. He was raised in Cambridge, MA. Graduated from Boston School of Commerce and enlisted in the Air Force. After his military service, Bill started his working career in the utility industry which developed into a life long career spanning over 50 years. He was a life long New York Giants fan, also loved his Boston Braves (now Atlanta Braves).

In his retirement years he enjoyed his weekly gym workouts, dancing at the Rofmar Club, spending time at the canal. Also, relaxing vacations in Maine and many years enjoying the jazz fest in New Orleans.

Bill was most proud of his family, his wife, Diane; his children, Bonnie, Tracy, Geoffrey (Laura) and Heather (Joseph); and his grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Delaney, Kaylynn, Hannah, Nicholas and Bode.

He is also survived by his sister, Doris, his nephew, Richard and his nieces, Deborah and Lynn and many grandnieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard.

A funeral service will be held November 22, 2021 at 11:30 am at St. John's Episcopal Church, 159 Main Street, Sandwich, MA. Followed by burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
