Robert Edward Gage

Bobby was a lifelong Sandwich resident. He was a well known Country Music entertainer and owner of For The Good Times Restaurant and Lounge. Bobby performed with his band, The Countriares, and many music greats and was recognized with numerous Country Music Association awards.

Bobby was also an accomplished carpenter, following in his father’s footsteps. He was married to Catherine (Shaughnessy) for 27 years and raised his four daughters in his beloved hometown.

Bobby was known for his extraordinary voice, iconic cowboy style, youthful good looks, and sense of humor. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, restoring boats and cars, fishing in Cape Cod Bay, and traveling to Florida in his greyhound bus. More importantly, Bobby was known for always being willing to host a benefit and perform for people in need.

Bobby was a legend in the town of Sandwich and his music will live on forever.

Bobby is predeceased by his brother Richard Gage and his sister Barbara Walling.

He is survived by his daughters Laurel Almquist and husband David of Mashpee, Lisa Roche and husband James of Norwell, Leslie Gage of Yarmouth, and Leah Gage and husband Stewart Landers of Forestdale, his grandchildren Matthew, Lily, Jacqueline, Kaitlyn, and James.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 11th, 10 am at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Main St. in Sandwich, MA, Burial will follow at Bayview Cemetery in Sandwich, MA. Visiting hours will be held Monday February 10th from 5-8 pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rt. 6A, Sandwich, MA.
