Richard Arthur Baird

Richard A. “Dick” Baird, of West Palm Beach, FL and Sandwich, MA passed away peacefully with his loving wife of 46 years by his side on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. A true original, Dick leaves behind a legacy of giving, a work ethic beyond compare and countless lives enriched. After retiring as President and CEO of Giant Food of MD and Stop & Shop of Quincy, MA, serving multiple roles, Mr. Baird was entirely dedicated to his two passions, family and golf.

“Papa” is survived by his wife Kathryn (Shepard) Baird, his children, Alice C. Baird of Waltham, MA, Sarah E. Baird of Needham, MA, and Keith E. Baird and his wife Alexis K. Baird of Hanover, MA, his four grandchildren Emma, Grace and Jacob Heckman and Adrian “Bubba” Baird. Dick will be sorely missed but surely never forgotten. They just don’t make them like that anymore.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Dick’s Life on Tuesday, October 4th at 5:00 p.m. at Amari Restaurant 674 Route 6A Sandwich, MA.
