Mary E. Foley

She was born to the late Stanley and Madeline (Silva) Gray. Born January 22, 1935 in Wareham MA. Mary graduated from Sandwich High School in 1952. She was a proud lifelong resident of Sandwich.

She worked as a Seamstress and Interior Designer in Osterville MA, in her early years and eventually owned her own Seamstress store in Sandwich. She worked as a waitress in many restaurants including Ducett’s Coffee Shop, the original Daniel Webster Inn, Marshland Restaurant, Sandys, Eli’s Restaurant and Sagamore Inn.

Mary loved her four sons and many grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Post 188 in Sandwich. She loved playing cards, working in her garden, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Mary is survived by her husband Thomas Foley. Her five children, William (predeceased), Robert, John, Kevin, and Cathy (predeceased). She has twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Jane Osborn and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Monday May 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd, Sandwich MA. Burial will follow at the Sandwich Town Cemetery on Rte. 130, Sandwich MA.
