Mark is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn, his daughter Debra (son in law John Burke) and is predeceased by his son Mark W. Motta. He is survived by his cherished granddaughter Meghan Burke, and his caring sister Eleanor (Red) Mullin. Also, Mark’s attentive nieces and nephews.
Mark was born in Needham, MA in 1934 to Vincenza (Polucci) and John Motta and spent his formative years in Wellesley, graduating high school with the year book mention of “Superman in Disguise” (and that he was)
Mark was a proud member of the Marine Corp and served as Sargent in the Korean War. Mark was a heavy equipment expert known as an important resource to many construction company at the time.
After retiring from his business In 1999 Mark and Carolyn moved to Sandwich full time, Mark loved the Cape, especially Sandwich. For many years Mark was dedicated to the American Legion, Post 188, 20 Main St. Sandwich, MA 02563. Working as their adjutant for most. Mark cherished his friendships with the legionnaires, sons of, and women’s auxiliary.
Mark also appreciated his friends who were “there”
Mark will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday June 27th at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA at 12pm. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting hours are prior to the service from 10-12pm.
