Edith Arlene Sheehan

A graduate of Avon High School and I.B.M. Office Machine School, Edie worked as a Real Estate Broker and Travel agent. She was a member of Plantation Golf and Country Club, Venice, FL. and Plantation Community Foundation, and she was a volunteer of Hospice of Southwest Florida and Venice Hospital.

Edith was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert A. “Hooker” Sheehan. She is survived by one son, William A. “Billy” and his wife Natalie of Venice, FL. She was predeceased by 3 sons, Robert F. “Bobby” (Nancy and Lisa) of Sandwich, MA, Barry M. (Gail) of Trumbull, CT, and James S. “Jimmy” of Bourne, MA. Edith was the proud grandmother of Kelly, Colin, Christopher, Caitlyn, Emily, Conor, Michael, Jessica and Sarah and great grandmother of 8; Cameron, Abigail, Jack, Theresa, Patrick, Parker, Paxton, and Finley. She was predeceased by her brothers Carl W. Oakes of E. Dennis, MA and Arnold K. Oakes of Stoughton, MA.

Visiting hours will be held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA on December 14, 2024 from 10:00AM to 12:30PM. A funeral mass will then take place at Corpus Christi Parish in Sandwich, MA at 1:00 PM, immediately followed by a burial at Sandwich Town Cemetery.
