Dawn Grabowski

It is with sadness, we are announcing the passing of Dawn Arlene (Cable) Grabowski on December 20, 2020. It is with love we view her final journey home. She left this realm with her husband David at her side. Dawn was born on November 28, 1948 in New Bedford, MA. Her parents David A Cable and Sylvia E Davis pre deceased her, as did her older sister Diane A. (Cable) Wood.

Dawn is survived by her husband David Grabowski of Sandwich, her sister Lisa E. Davis of Sandwich, her children and their spouses, Scott and Katherine Kestenbaum of Onset, MA., Jason and Mary Grabowski of Sandwich, MA., Kristen and Craig Wilkens of Sandwich, MA., Sherri and Greg Baker of Orleans MA., and Laura and Kevin Ward of Middleboro, MA., her grandchildren Matthew, Blake, Amanda, Lindsey, Kelly, Brian, Alex, Tyler, Patrick, Jacquline, Paul, Andrew, Hunter and a great gand daughter Nevaeh, her nephews Todd Troy and Zachary and many extended family and friends.

Dawn was raised in Sandwich, MA. and graduated from Sandwich High School in 1967. She attended the Gerard Academy and became a licensed hairdresser. Dawn worked a variety of jobs including the Sandwich assessors office, and her final job at Stop and Shop as a pharmacy tech.

Dawn lived her life loving her family, God and her Country. She was a founding member of the Cape Cod Chorale and served on its executive board until her death. Dawn spent many happy hours in her yard and with her gardens. She took great pleasure in her gardens and creatures who visited her yard. Dawn loved to fish, camp and harvest from her gardens. She was a prize winner with her zucchini bread at the Barnstable County Fair. She preserved annually. Dawn was a wonderful cook and loved to make a cake for anyone who needed one. Dawn had cats her whole life as pets and loved them dearly. She was an active member of the Greater Grace Church and enjoyed hosting bible studies at her home.

A Celebration of Dawn's life will be held on May 22, 2021 at 16 Rt 6A, Sandwich, Ma from 12:00pm to 3pm.

A religious memorial service will take place at 12:30pm.

Parking will be available at the medical building next door to the residence.
