Tamara Chapman

Tamara M. Chapman Sep. 6, 1927 - Jan. 19, 2015 "A Mother holds her child's hand for a little while...her child's heart for a Lifetime". Loved by many, "Tam" passed away unexpectedly but peacefully of natural causes at the age of 87. Tam was admired by many and touched many peoples lives. Born in Chicago to James and Tamara Dowling, she always called the bay area her home. Upon her arrival she quickly became a fashion model for many of the top stores in San Francisco, I. Magnin and Macy's used her face for many of their advertising campaigns. She stole the heart a certain B-24 Bomber Pilot, her late husband Harry "Buzz" Chapman. She was also married to Justin Samuels. Although she was widowed twice and lost her son Michael she never lost her "lust for life". Tam was also a good friend to those down trodden and was always a sympathetic ear to those in need of a friend. She truly embraced life with great passion and was eternally "young at heart". She will always be missed but will live in our hearts forever. She is survived by her Children; Bruce, James, Brian, Andrew and Lori, Grandchildren; Christopher, Sally, Sheri, Tamara, Michael, Stanley, Tess, Kirby, Justin, Quinn and Emma. She was very pleased with the advent of her Great Grandson Sylas, along with Daughters-in-Law; Susie and Alice. A celebration of Tamara's life will be held at her son's home on February 15, 2015.
