On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, Lynette Sandra Calabro, loving wife, mother and grandmother went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 61. She danced her way into Heaven and became a member of the Heavenly choir. Lynette was born on May 10, 1960 in Northfield, MN to Raymond and Arleen Lindelien.
Lynette grew up in Lakeville, MN. She met her first husband, Jeff Pierce, at Valley Fair Amusement Park and together they had two loving sons, Brock and Scott. She was a graduate of Spiritual Life Training Center in Brooklyn Center, MN and also a licensed minister. Lynette was a woman of many gifts and talents. Lynette’s entire life was devoted to God, her children, ministry and serving others. Her ministry spanned the globe, from South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and across the United States. Lynette believed everywhere she was there was an opportunity for ministry. She had the incredible ability to relate to people from all walks of life on any level.
Lynette and Christopher Calabro were married in Minnesota on September 29, 2001, recently celebrating 20 years of marriage. They journeyed together from Minnesota, Florida, Ohio, St Louis, Utah and most recently to Puerto Rico. Lynette had a passion for God and a passion for people. She served many years in various ministry positions in Minnesota, California, Ohio, and Florida. Her heart was to serve people. She had the unique ability to see the gifts in people and bring out the best in them. She was known for her encouraging words, infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate heart. She made you feel like you were the only person in the room. She was loved by family and friends and by all who met her. To know Lynette was to love Lynette. She was an incredible gift to all her family and friends both near and far.
Lynette’s greatest love was being a mom and a grandmother; she cherished her time spent with her sons and grandchildren. She was affectionately known as “Maga” by her granddaughter Aurora. Lynette loved music and dancing. She was always singing and her memory of all the lyrics was remarkable. Her heart and genuineness in worship, singing and dancing was an inspiration to all.
Lynette was preceded in death by her mother, Arleen Lindelien. Cherishing her memory, she is survived by her husband, Christopher Calabro; her sons Brock Pierce (Crystal), Scott Pierce and Joey Greco-Calabro; granddaughters Danica Pierce and Aurora Rose-Pierce; her father, Raymond Lindelien; brothers, Ted Lindelien, Tom Lindelien, and Carl (DeeDee) Lindelien; sisters, Linda Hammer and Liz (Steve) Brewer; several nieces and nephews and countless friends and loved ones.
Celebration of Life Services will be held for family only on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Funeraria y Columbario Buxeda, 574, 3738 Av. Tte. Cesar Luis Gonzalez, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00918. A second Celebration of Life Service for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in Encanto Surf Room Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico from 3-7PM. Lynette was always generous and she was a gift given to the world. Her life will keep on giving long after her departure through a foundation established in her name.
