It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tấm Thị Cà, a beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother, who peacefully departed this life on November 12,
2024 at the age of 91.
Born in Lai Châu, Việt Nam, Tấm faced unimaginable challenges during her early life,
bravely escaping the Vietnam War as a refugee and beginning a new chapter in the United
States. Her courage and resilience became the foundation of her family’s legacy, teaching
those she loved the values of perseverance, gratitude, and strength.
Tấm was the devoted wife of Tụt Văn Lương, with whom she shared a beautiful partnership
of 76 years. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and tradition. She was the
cherished mother of Tien Luong, the adored grandmother of Lena Chan, Tim Luong, and
Christine Hua and the proud great-grandmother of three.
Known for her warm hugs and open heart, Tấm was a source of endless love and kindness.
She had a unique gift for listening without judgment, offering wisdom and comfort to
anyone in need. Her home was always a haven where family and friends could gather,
share stories, and feel truly seen and heard.
She will be remembered for her generosity, her gentle spirit, and the way her smile could
light up a room. Though her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, her legacy of
love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
A memorial service to celebrate Tấm’s extraordinary life will be held on December 6 at
9:30am in the Oakhill Funeral Home Lotus & Lily Room.
