Sheree was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was loving, very caring and always made sure you knew it. Sam was funny and her happiness was contagious. Sheree was extremely outgoing and energized those around her. She was always great at coming up with new practical solutions to problems. Her friends and family relied on her insight, intuition and incredible inspiration! Sheree could jump into action and plan on the go, an expert at multi-tasking, with successful results. Spontaneous, free and fearless in nature, Sheree was always an adventure – whether you were in a train, plane, car, boat…
Sheree was born in Fort Ord, California on February 12, 1958 to Willie and Katherine Martin. The family moved to San Jose in 1963 where Sheree and her older sister Billemarie were raised. Sheree graduated High school from Branham High and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Archeology from San Jose State University. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for over 30 years.
Sheree worked in Pharmacy Administration at Santa Clara Medical Center for 30 years. She found life-long friends in Jessica Zahn-Riley, Nicole Heick and hundreds of others. She also considered her hospital co workers as her big family. Sheree loved her bull terriers and had four of them during her lifetime. Her beloved pets were Cleopatra (Cleo), Tater, Tequilla (spelled with two L’s because the registration with one L was already taken!), and Martini (Tini). These girls were her loyal, loving babies.
Sheree was not easily challenged. She was a certified Scuba Diving Instructor and EMT. She was always searching for the next adventure. She loved swimming, scuba diving, traveling, belly dancing, bird watching, artsy craftsy, Renaissance Fairs, cruises or anything new and exciting. She could organize down to the tiniest detail or fly by the seat of her pants at a moment’s notice. She traveled to Europe, Alaska and to Mexico many times.
Sheree is survived by her mother, Katherine Martin; sister, Billemarie Wagnon; niece, Angela Dugger; and triplet grand nieces Jamie Dugger, Emma Dugger and Hannah Dugger of Palestine, Texas.
“What we have once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
